The Information Architect helps the audiences of websites, marketing campaigns and other digital channels to find their way in the vast amount of information offered. You have a passion and proven track record for understanding end users and offering solutions which fit the needs of users.
Job Responsibilities
The Information Architect is responsible for the information design of the user interface and creating the most valuable user experience for the target audience. To gain user insights you use user-centered analysis techniques. You define solutions, test the usability of the solutions and recommend improvements to create an optimal user experience. You participate in concept development brainstorms and lead client workshops to determine business goals, user insights and evaluate technical requirements. In all projects you work closely in a design team with technical consultants, designers and programmers.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in interactive media design (preferably within a creative team)
- A minimum of 2 years in a role exclusively addressing information architecture
- Ability to research, understand and organize specialized content
- Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience and/or interest in mentoring others
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Visio, HTML, Dreamweaver
